Hunger in our Community

A LOOK AT FOOD INSECURITY IN OUR REGION.

Mother with children

At the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank, we are dedicated to fostering a thriving, hunger-free region where every individual has access to nutritious food and the resources needed for a healthy life. Serving Defiance, Fulton, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Williams, and Wood counties, our commitment extends beyond food distribution; we strive to educate, empower, and uplift the lives of those we serve.

Story Of Change

Mother with children who were helped by the food bank

For families like Diane’s, the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank summer meals partners are a lifeline. A single mother of two, Diane recently lost her job. As she seeks new employment, the summer meals are crucial to filing the food gap. “Just having this takes the pressure on my shoulders, even for just a minute,” Diane says. “We fall into that middle ground where I was making just too much for SNAP but still struggling.”
