About the Event

On Saturday, June 19th 2010, the Toledo Northwestern Ohio Food Bank will host its inaugural Blues & Jazz Festival.  We anticipate this event will be Northwest Ohio's premiere Blues Festival and our largest annual fundraiser.

Our goal is to raise funds and awareness about the plight of hunger in America and treat thousands of fans to performances by Bernard Allison, Tinsley Ellis, Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones and Josh Boyd and the V.I.P. Band at the newly renovated Centennial Terrace in Sylvania, Ohio.

Artist Spotlight

Bernard Allison

Bernard totes the same smokin' six string shooter that his late father Luther Allison assaulted the blues with.   And he is blessed with his father's soulful voice, spiritual devotion, and a musical freedom which experiments with the blues

Tinsley Ellis

This blues-soaked guitarist/vocalist and song-writer sings and plays with the energy and soul of all the great Southern musicians who have come before him.

Doug Deming and The Jewel Tones

The Motor City's Doug Deming and the Jewel Tones have been in demand as a backing band for today's top blues performers.

Josh Boyd and The V.I.P. Band

A local Toledo
favorite for years!
